I am not a programmer or developer, by trade and am struggling my way through this request.
We had setup some incident response systems using HTTP targets in zendesk which worked great, we could trigger an incident and page the correct group as a result of the page. However, recently noticed V2 in zendesk is being deprecated.
I went ahead and setup webhooks, and create a generic webhook. I still can’t figure out how I generated the URL for the first generic webhook. Anyhow, I can’t seem to get zendesk to setup a trigger to initiate a page of a service and I’m totally lost on how I do this with the generic V3 webhooks even after reviewing the articles available online through pagerduty for APIs.
I’m not sure if someone out there has completed a similar solution, in essence we need a specific event in our ticket to set off a trigger then sends an API post to pagerduty and starts a trigger alert, and different events will page different people at different stages of the ticket within pager duty.
Any help is appreciated even if you give me baby steps to get through this.
